Using a Catmate two piece sieve litter tray is quick & easy to set up. Your Catmate litter will last longer & the odour is reduced further.

As the litter in the top tray gets wet it soaks up the liquid and falls through into the bottom layer. Only the wet litter is removed and you don’t have to change all the litter every time you clean the tray.

How to Use….

To Set up the two Piece Sieve Catmate litter system.
Put 2 to 3 hands full of litter in the bottom tray under the sieve. This base litter soaks up any liquid that goes through the top.
After you have put a layer of 2cm of litter in the top of the sieve, the tray is ready to use.
Frequently shake the tray. This allows particles that have absorbed the odour causing liquid to fall through the sieve and into the base.
Scoop out solids daily.
The wet litter in the base can be replaced as required.

Regular Maintenance

Clean out all the wet litter from the base
Move a couple of scoops of litter from the top of the sieve to the base
Stops the urine odour.Add a couple of scoops of fresh litter to the top of the sieve.
This process means that the litter to be regularly “renewed” with fresh litter always being added to the top.
Clean the whole tray and sieve every 2 to 3 weeks, or more frequently if required.
Use bleach or a non-citrus based equivalent, and replace all the litter.
