The Golden Retriever has a beautiful coat and sensitive skin. The dense impermeable structure of its coat stores heat and retains humidity, making the Golden Retriever particularly prone to dermatological issues.

Heart problems are more common in this breed, and a specific diet can help delay the appearance of symptoms. The Golden Retriever has also a natural tendency to gain weight; with a lack of activity and a poorly adapted diet often leading to excess weight gain. Royal Canin have devloped a special formular kibble to maintain the Golden Retriever's ideal healthy weight.

Healthy skin and glossy coat:

• The combination of Zinc, Vitamins A and B, Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B-5), Niacin (Vitamin B-3), Histidine, Pyridoxine, Proline, Inositol, and Choline generates healthy skin-growth and improves skin-resistance to prevent the penetration of bacteria.
• Fatty acides from Borage oil and fish oil produce a glossy coat.

Heart Health

• To help protect the heart and contribute to a better quality of life we include vitamins E & C, lutein, taurine and green tea polyphenols, essential fatty acids, arginine and L-carnitine.

Cartilage nutrients for strong joints:

• The active ingredients Chondroitin sulphate and aminoglucose slow the deterioration of cartilage and stimulate regeneration of cartilage.
• The Omega-3-fats EPA and DHA prevent joint inflammation.
